Company policy

Company policy

Through the group-wide introduction and harmonisation of our integrated management system (lMS), all existing corporate, quality, nenvironmental and energy policies are replaced by this corporate policy.

The slogan "Textiles have a future - also in Germany" describes the vision of the SETEX group of companies.

To do this, we must achieve a sufficient return to be able to make the necessary investments in modern machinery and in a well-trained workforce

We support the further development of our subsidiaries and help them to establish themselves further in the market.

The management of the SETEX Group of Companies is responsible for defining the corporate policy as well as its implementation, enforcement and internal / external communication.

Management obliges all employees to familiarise themselves with the IMS and to carry out their activities in accordance with the applicable requirements in order to ensure that all activities are carried out in an environmentally and energy-conscious manner and are of impeccable quality.

Special emphasis is placed on the aspects of occupational safety and health protection. We fulfil this obligation towards our employees by continuously working on the maintenance and improvement of occupational safety and health protection throughout the entire process, from planning and implementation to the ongoing process. Hazards must be recognised, systematically assessed and eliminated or avoided through countermeasures, and the remaining hazards must be kept as low as possible. Through training and instruction, employees are made aware of the issue and encouraged to think and act in a safety-conscious manner.

Safety and legally compliant action are essential elements of our corporate policy.

Quality policy

Quality management for the SETEX Group means meeting all the contractually agreed requirements of our customers, as well as further requirements of interested parties. The Group-wide slogan above particularly conveys the specific responsibility in terms of our products’ quality and the services we provide.

The SETEX group of companies is aware of this responsibility and wants to fulfil it through competent technical application advice, through the competitiveness of our products and services as well as through faultless and punctual order realisation.

Energy management

The SETEX Group's energy policy objective in energy management is to continuously improve energy-related performance. This includes increasing energy efficiency and reducing specific energy consumption at the Dingden, Rheine and Bocholt sites.

In order to implement these energy targets, an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 has been introduced in the current version 2018.

The scope of the management system includes the context, the interested parties, as well as the resulting opportunities and risks.

Environmental policy

Environmental management for the SETEX Group means the obligation to avoid environmental pollution and to analyse and sustainably implement requirements resulting from laws, directives and acts, and other compulsory requirements.

Thinking and acting in an environmentally conscious way is an integral part of our daily work and is implemented in all production processes and departments. Already during the development of our services and the procurement of all utility and consumer products, we strive to minimise the environmental impact while taking economic aspects into account. In our production, we continuously work on the optimisation of processes with the aim of minimising environmental impacts. We want to achieve a reduction of greenhouse gases as well as the avoidance of waste, an economical and efficient use of energy and resources, and an increase in the recyclability of our products.

Senior management commits that

  • 1. requisite financial and structural conditions are ensured so as to achieve defined goals,
  • 2. all employees are integrated into the implementation and execution of the energy management system and responsibilities are defined,
  • 3. all necessary information is made available to every employee at all times,
  • 4. relevant legal requirements and other requirements are taken into account,
  • 5. energy data is regularly determined and verified,

  • 6. economically feasible efficiency measures are planned and approved,
  • 7. results are quantified and verified through regular audits,
  • 8. that the awareness and competence of employees in relation to energy management is promoted and maintained,
  • 9. design and procurement are supported for energy-efficient and environmentally conscious products, facilities and services,
  • 10. interested parties are involved in relevant decisions and energy policy is made available to them if they have a legitimate interest

We are committed to continuously improving the effectiveness of our IMS and thus to sustainably improving our environmental performance (including energy performance) and the quality of our products and services.

The IMS is fully supported and promoted by the management of the SETEX Group. Necessary information and resources are provided according to need.
